What are header tags?

Not to be confused with meta tags, header tags are the snippets of code that identifies to Google
that
the content is a Header and therefore is a signpost for the type of content that will be in this part of the page.

Heading tags have a top-down hierarchy from H1 to H6 with H1 being
the biggest header and also the most significant in terms of SEO.

It’s a good idea to try and incorporate keywords into your header tags, when relevant.
